For the first time ever, the seats surrounding the courts of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center are empty during the US Open. Instead of fans cheering our favorite players on from the stands, we’re all are sitting on our couches and watching the action from home.
And nothing screams “I need a drink!” more than the seemingly endless stay at home orders, am I right?
To honor this unprecedented Slam, NYC’s popular pub, Caffe Dante — named “The World’s Best Bar” by Forbes in 2019 — has partnered with the USTA and Grey Goose, and put its own special spin on the official US Open cocktail, dubbing it: Dante’s Honey Deuce.
I need a drink!
This “tennis ball yellow” libation is light, fruity and refreshing. Throughout the tournament and for a couple of weeks thereafter, both Caffe Dante and Dante West (their newly opened West Village location), as well as their popup inside the players bubble, will be serving up Dante’s Honey Deuce in a commemorative take-home US Open glass.
For us fans who aren’t able to visit Dante’s in person, they are sharing their recipe so we can all enjoy a delicious taste of the US Open at home!
Make up a pitcher and enjoy, y’all… I know I will!
